Account Balance

Account Balance

The Account Balance page allows merchants to track their account balances in real-time. This feature is available for accounts with RTP or EFT transactions enabled. The balance is automatically updated every hour.

Definition of transaction types:

RTP (Real Time Payment)

This means that the transaction will be processed instantly by the ODFI and the bank, so the amount will be available in the customer's bank account in real-time. This Payment Processor is the one used to make transactions in the United States.

EFT stands for Electronic Funds Transfer (similar to ACH rail in the US)

This is a popular method of transferring money in Canada. An EFT is defined as an electronic exchange or transfer of money from one bank account to another, either within a single financial institution or between multiple institutions, through computer-based systems. So, this Payment Processor is the one used to make transactions to Canada.

How to Use the Account Balance Page?

Users can filter and view their account balance based on the following options:

  • Product: Choose between RTP or EFT to view balances related to each transaction type.
  • Account: Select a specific account or view all accounts.
  • Date Range: Set a date range for your query (maximum of 90 days between dates).

Once filters are selected, click "Search" to display the results.

About Date and Time Display

The table displays dates and times based on the user-selected time zone. If you change the time zone using the dropdown, only the displayed date and time will be adjusted—your actual data remains unchanged. When exporting the report to CSV, the time will be converted to the selected time zone on the dropdown.

Exporting Data

Users can export the balance report as a CSV file by clicking the "Export to CSV" button. This allows for easy data storage and analysis in spreadsheets or other systems.
